Are there some diets that you may not have heard of that work for so many people that it is hard to put a price tag on them and sell them? Yes. This series looks at three of them. This one is called “The Detox Diet.”

This is a diet that while on it, the weight loss is large and fairly quick, in the amount of five to six pounds per week! Be cautious when you get off it that you maintain your healthy eating habits you got while on it!

The Detox diet is essentially a liquid diet. This diets severely restricts your caloric intake. It is similar to other ‘meal replacement’ diet plans in that you will drink your way to detoxing your body! You will be flushing the toxins out of your body and system so the foods you eat will need to be nutrient rich.

Vitamins, such as vitamin C and antioxidants are going to be an important part of your diet during this time. Do NOT fast during this time. You need to still fuel your body but do it wisely!
